Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Joins Police Lineup

According to Khabar Khodro, Chevrolet has introduced the latest addition to its Special Service Vehicle (SSV) lineup.

The 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 SSV joins the brand’s growing portfolio of police vehicles, and will go on sale this summer with specially designed features for police use. The SSV package will be available on the Silverado 1500 Crew Cab in 1WT or 1LS trims, which comes with a 5.3-liter EcoTec V8 engine with 355 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque while getting a 23 MPG highway rating.

The Silverado SSV will come equipped standard with a 170-amp high-output alternator and 730-CCA auxiliary battery, allowing officers to operate lights, radios, computers, cameras and other equipment while parked with the engine off.
