Renault Master Update Revealed

According to Khabar Khodro,Renault’s Master commercial van has received an update for 2014, with the new model unveiled at the 2014 Commercial Vehicle Show in the UK.

The Master will soon be available with a new range of twin-turbo engines, which offer more power across the range while improving fuel consumption by up to 1.5 l/100km.

All engine options are diesel-powered with the same 2.3 litre capacity, available in European markets with 82, 94, 101 or 123kW.

Fuel consumption has improved across the range, with the top-spec 123kW engine now using 6.9 l/100km. Renault says fuel consumption can be improved by a further 10 percent when drivers press the ‘ECOmode’ button.

Outside, the new Master gets revised front styling, dominated by a new grille which now encompasses the Renault badge.

Safety features include an improved ESC system, hill start assist and trailer swing assist, which improves grip in snow, sand and mud.

Various models also receive tyre-pressure monitoring, electronic power steering and an optional ‘wide view’ mirror.

More than 350 versions of the Master are available in various markets, with differing lengths, heights and seating arrangements.

The 2014 Renault Master will be built in France, with order books for Renault’s French delivery network opening next month with deliveries beginning around August.
