Targeting the production of 1500 lorries in Siba Motor

According to Khabar Khodro, the CEO of Siba Motor has announced the production and launch of more than 1500 units of FAWlorries in this year and said, “With this target production capacity of company would be triple compared to last year.”

Hossein Khezri in an interview with Khabar Khodro’s reporter added, “Last year, we have produced and launched 525 units of single and dual axle lorries in Siba Motor.”

He told, “In 91 and 92, Siba Motor has produced and launched 1050 units of single and dual axle lorries in the transportation fleet of country.”

He admitted, “Now Siba Motor owns 25 percent market share in lorry segment, which would be increased with raising production and launching 1500 units of lorries.”

He also announced the launch of two new vehicles including a dump truck and a motor truckin 93 and 94 and remarked, “Siba Motor plans to introduce one new product each year. In year 91 and along with starting the activity of company we have produced and launched FAWdual axle lorry followed by a single axle lorry and this year a dump truck would be launched while next year it is planned for a motor truck.”

The CEO of Siba Motor told, “Focus on localization is among goals of Siba Motor. Last year there was about 18 percent localization in this company and there is plan to reach 31 percent by this year.”

He said, “Focus on localization and developing this segment would prevent exchange exit as well as increasing employment. So, even if prices of locally made products are higher than foreign pieces we would use them.”

“In launch of first products of Siba Motor all vehicles were compatible with Euro 3 standards and now Euro 4 compatible ones are according to standards of country and have the right of numbering. Our products are according to national and international standards and feature E-MARK.”
