The price of Pride is increased less than 5 percent

According to Khabar Khodro, after announcing new prices of cars by Council on Competitiveness there raised different and contradictory comments about increasing the prices of cars in media while the studies show that the price of Pride is increased less than 5 percent and Tiba less than 6 percent.

The report indicates that the price of entry-level SX Pride with Euro 2 engine and without airbag has been announced in 1392, which faced 2 percent increase of VAT and third party insurance rates.

In addition, legally the upgrade of Euro 2 standard to Euro 4 and installing 2 airbags is essential for cars so Pride is also equipped with new M13 engine with Euro 4 standard and two driver and passenger airbags, which was not accounted for SX in 1392.

The same was for Tiba as in the announced price in 1392, airbag and Euro 4 standard was not considered, while with new rules Tiba is equipped with new M15 engine compatible with Euro 4 standard and airbag and is launched in market.

This shows that despite some non-expert comments the increase in cars' prices is not 20 to 30 percent. The increase percentage for these cars is less than 6 percent so officials should be more conscious in their comments.
