Tondar 90 facelift would be launched by end of this year

According to Khabar Khodro, the CEO of Iran Khodro Industrial Group about the new partners of this company told, “After wins of Iran in Vienna negotiations, different trams are coming to the country and considering the important role of Iran in region, they are continued.”

According to the reporter of Khabar Khodro, engineer HashemYekeZare’ said, “Iran is so important for those companies that seek economic markets in region. Germany was the first economic team that has announced its willing for being present in Iran and there were also some negotiations with Mercedes Benz and Volkswagen and the first wants to be completely present here.”

He added, “Soon, a 10 years old agreement would be signed with Mercedes Benz for developing commercial vehicles. In addition, Mercedes Benz has announced its readiness to buy 30 percent of Aiden Company and start production of new motors.”

He admitted, “According to agreements, a 5 years old contract would be signed that based on it Setare Iran Company would be importer and Top Khodro Company would be manufacturer of Mercedes in Iran. The company is also willing to buy about 50 percent of stocks in Setare Iran Company.”

About continuous presence of Chinese companies in Iran, he remarked, “Chinese vehicles are appealing for costumers for their prices but they are not competitive with European products in quality and style.”

About the launch of Tondar 90 facelift he reiterated, “In my idea, the project ofTondar 90 facelift should not have been started as any product that enters to the market has a useful lifetime and would be stopped after sometime but this project has been started before my appointment and it would be launched in market by end of this year.”
