Volkswagen Australia has announced the local release of the updated Passat CC 125TDI and V6 FSI, adding its award-winning BlueMotion fuel-saving and emissions-cutting technology to the stylish four-door coupe.
As KHABAR KHODRO reports, The Australian launch of Volkswagen's BlueMotion-equipped Passat CC follows the April debut of the 2012 Passat sedan and wagon, its 125TDI variant gaining the same ultra-green tweaks.
For the 2012 model year, the Passat CC 125TDI features start/stop technology and regenerative brakes as standard.
Thanks to these tweaks, the diesel CC's fuel consumption falls from 6.3 l/100km to 5.7 l/100km, and CO2 emissions fall from 166g/km to 150g/km.
The V6 FSI range-topper is also equipped with the BlueMotion regenerative braking package, bringing fuel consumption down from 10.5 l/100km to 9.7 l/100km. Power remains unchanged at 220kW and 350Nm of torque.
The updated Passat CC range is available now, and pricing remains unchanged.
