After announcing that they have started the production of 2012 Beetle at their unit in Mexico, Volkswagen is not far from launching the iconic car in various countries around the world. Of all the countries, Europe and America will be the first one’s to get their hands on the bigger 2012 Beetle.
According to KHABAR KHODRO, We always wondered whether VW will bring the new Beetle to India anytime soon as Indian auto industry is not of the kind where a Beetle would manage to make roaring sales. But it is an iconic VW car and Indian car industry is booming, as today it is the second fastest growing auto industry in the world.
VW will be launching the new Beetle in India later this year or early next year. Based on the A5 platform, 2012 Beetle is longer and bigger in size than the current variant. It is also lower than the current Beetle to give more stability. Once launched, 2012 Beetle will compete with Mercedes Benz A Class, B Class, Fiat 500, Audi A3 and BMW 1 Series.
